Andrea, a 13-year-old musician, has recently returned from a trip to South Africa, where he went on a musical quest to meet D.J. Maphorisa.

Andrea The Vocalist, real name Andrea Sibanda, expressed interest in working with DJ Maphorisa, a well-known South African producer and artist, and his wish has been granted.

Maphorisa also made an effort to promote the young star by sharing a video clip of him singing his heart out to showcase his talent. The video quickly went viral on social media. The young man’s singing was praised by the majority of netizens, and some even suggested that DJ Tira collaborate with him. Others have compared the youngster to legends Oliver Mtukudzi and Yvonne Chaka Chaka.

Tendai Joe, the managing director of JBross Entertainment and Andrea’s manager, said he could not say when the project with DJ Maphorisa is likely to be released since doing so would put undue pressure on the young musician. However, he told Motimagz that the production is going to be a blow.

Tendai Joe said that Andrea’s musical career began by accident. As a form of punishment, Andrea was caught on camera singing in church. His recording quickly gained popularity on social media. After receiving parental approval, the JBross Entertainment Managing Director and his team sought out the young man and named him Andrea the vocalist in 2021.

” Andrea’s dream and wish is to become a well-known and talented artist not only in Zimbabwe but throughout the world. He should have received a Grammy award for his musical career within 3 to 10 years” he said

“Andrea enjoys soccer in addition to music. He likes to watch and play soccer. Chicken is the young man’s favorite food, he adores chicken.”

“Andrea’s magical voice is one of his musical strengths, and he learns quickly. He currently does not play any musical instruments, but he is interested in learning to play the piano. Attempts are being made on his behalf to obtain one.” said the Manager

“The Vocalist is still young. He is yet to learn so much from the music sphere.  Currently, he has not yet mastered the art of doing things for a long time.” Said, Joe

Andrea is passionate about music; it comes naturally to him. He currently has six songs in the works that will be released as singles soon.
